Chief of Staff as a Service

Your own AI,
wired into
everything.

You've tried the AI tools. They're useful — but they're chat windows, disconnected from your actual workflow, and your data still passes through someone else's servers.

I build private AI systems that run on your hardware, wired into your calendar, email, files, and CRM. Your data never leaves your building. Ever.

PrivateRuns on your hardware. Your data stays yours.
ConnectedCalendar, email, files, CRM — all wired in.

What we build

A private AI system that actually works for you

01

Private infrastructure

Your AI runs on dedicated hardware in your office or home. No cloud dependency, no data leaving your network. We source, configure, and install everything — from compact desktops to rack-mounted servers depending on your needs.

02

Full system integration

We connect your AI to the tools you already use — calendar, email, file storage, CRM, project management, accounting software. It doesn't just answer questions. It reads your context and acts on it.

03

Ongoing maintenance

We monitor, update, and refine your system on an ongoing basis. New integrations, prompt tuning, model updates, and periodic check-ins to make sure it keeps pace with how your work evolves.

Who's behind this

Not a faceless agency.
A direct line to me.

I'm Russ Jones. I spent 12 years in the British Army, trained as a mechanical engineer, got an MBA from London Business School, and then became a conceptual artist. For the last six years I've run my own studio and consultancy.

I've built apps with millions of users, delivered large-scale projects for global brands, and done most of it with the lightest team possible — me and a laptop. I've been building with AI for five years, using it as core infrastructure for how I run my own practice. I wrote the code, set up the server, wired it into everything. Then I started doing the same for other people.

I work with a small number of clients at a time. When you email, you get me. When something breaks, I fix it. No ticket queues, no account managers, no runaround.

Common questions

What you're probably
wondering

If your question isn't here, just ask. No gatekeeping — I'll give you a straight answer.

I install the latest open-source models that can run locally on your hardware — typically Llama, Mistral, or similar. These are regularly updated as better models become available. Because you control your own API keys, you can also connect to external APIs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) for specific tasks if you prefer — while keeping sensitive work local.

I spec hardware with reliability in mind and recommend keeping backups configured. If something does fail, I handle warranty claims and repairs. Most issues are software-side and can be resolved remotely within hours. For retainer clients, I monitor system health proactively — I often know about problems before you do.

Three ways: First, privacy — your data never leaves your building. Second, integration — this isn't a chat window; it's wired into your calendar, email, files, CRM, and everything else. Third, context — it knows your business, your clients, your preferences. It's not starting from zero every conversation.

Yes. Models are improving rapidly, and I update client systems regularly as better options become available. Your prompts, integrations, and workflows carry forward — you're not locked into any specific model.

No. Once it's set up, you interact with it like you would any assistant — natural language, through whatever interface works for you. I handle all the technical maintenance. The goal is that you forget there's 'technology' involved at all.

The hardware is yours. The system keeps running. You just won't have ongoing support, updates, or new integrations. No lock-in, no data hostage situations. You can always restart a retainer later if needed.

Yes, you can. Everything I use is open source. If you have the time to learn Ollama, configure model parameters, set up RAG pipelines, build integrations with your calendar and email APIs, and debug the inevitable edge cases — you'll get there eventually. What you're paying for is someone who's already solved the problems you're about to encounter. I'll have you running in two weeks instead of three months, and I'll be there when something breaks at 9am on a Monday.
